The Westbrooks: the redneck women hit the LA scene....days 1and 2

Rhonda and I and our mini me's set off for 6 days in LA to visit..... The plane ride was alot of fun. Of course, I made friends even with wearing my "leave me alone" eye mask - the steward had alot of fun with me and would hardly give me my bag of 4 pretzels and then asked to wear it while he passed out the last round of drinks.... Rachel and the man and son Jeremiah also became personal as they took a good snooze!!

"Mom, you are so embarrassing!!", says Jessi as I yell out to the steward, "you are so on my blog now!"

Kimmie meets us at the airport and we barely fit with our luggage in her mustang - it was a squeeze, but we made it :)

Kimmie took us down "the 405" which is the most dangerous interstate in the nation...zoom zoom and no seat belts ....couldn't get them on with us all holding our luggage.... AAAHHHHH!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJFvOhE-05c&feature=related - a related blog...

As soon as we arrived, they added me to the "walk of fame" - it was amazing!!

Our hotel, the Millennium Biltmore in downtown LA on the corner of fifth and Grand was really pretty - Victorian style - we had a little trouble getting to it - the streets are all one ways just like at home.... http://www.wilshiregrand.com/Index.aspx

Kimmie took us to Santa Monica for an arts festival - we walked out on the pier and got a good view of the beach and the city lit up at night- it was really crowded!!!

The party/art festival was called "glow" - it started it at 7pm and ended at 7am....http://www.smgov.net/smarts/glow/

The Georgia girls were not expecting cold temperatures and had to stop and buy some warmer clothes!! Hanging out on the pier....

Molly and Jessi ....jet lag... it happens....

All day Sunday, they filmed one block down from us an episode of the show, "24"- we got to watch a wreck scene and a robbery shooting scene - very cool.... http://www.fox.com/24/

The security was everywhere.... but we managed to get by this guy.....

and get a little closer for a better view.... then all of the sudden.... gun shots were fired and the extras started running right at us.... oops, the rednecks blew the shot.... we took off... and then we heard them shooting again.... had to shoot the scene again.... my bad....

they really have those director chairs, cool!!

Maybe Kiefer will stop by......NOT!!!

Molly all refreshed and she made the beds while we were gone.... what a good bear!!

We hit a cool pool party at Kimmie's apartment, called The Flat..... the techno music was really pumpin.... I got to take a nap and lay out... the people watching was extraordinarily good here!! The lady in the tall white pumps and the multi-colored swim cap - awesome....

Our bathroom in our hotel room is very small and no counter - so we opted for the gym dressing room down in the basement - we are such divas!!

that night we hit the Hollywood walk of fame and had a good time..... again - the people watching was phenomenal!! as Kimmie put it, "the freaks will be out"....
